Bred by Teija Urpelainen & Jaana Urpelainen Renua in Finland, Lahja has an all American pedigree.

Lahja, in the midst of a highly successful show career, came to England in May 2014. Lahjas breeders agreed to let us import her when we explained we would like to introduce the Black & Tan Coonhound as an official Kennel Club recognised breed in The UK.

Typical of the breed Lahja is gentle and sweet natured. She has taken everything in her stride and meets everybody with enthusiasm....... Nose first of course! Lahja has been shown 3 times in Finland, taking the Bitch CAC & Best Of Breed each time AND awarded a group place at each show. One with BEST IN SHOW

Lahja whelped two beautiful litters for us but whelping the second litter was quite traumatic and the last puppy born by Caeserian Section. As Lahjas welfare is of paramount importance to us we decided to have her spayed. She is now enjoying sofa life.
